From Managing Projects to Owning Products: Tools, Tips and Insights

“Back in the day” web development was all about Projects. Project Managers met with clients to gather requirements and then worked with designers and developers to meet those requirements within a set amount of time.

In today’s world, more people are working on web “Product” or “Platform” teams where they are serving the needs of both site editors and site visitors while running continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment processes.

Designing for Accessibility

Making websites and apps accessible and usable by people with disabilities requires thoughtful attention throughout the design and development process. The earlier in the design process you start thinking about accessibility, the easier it is to ensure an accessible final product. In this session we will go over many factors to consider when making your designs, including basics like color contrast and other less obvious cases where you may need to modify or create additional designs to meet the goal. Attendees will come away with many items to include in their process or checklists.
